O - R I N G S
Used for the tightness of two elements without moving (static tightness) or two parts on moving (dynamic tightness).
We have available the most extense range of measures, from 1 to 1.000 mm. of inner diameter.
Static tightness : The o-rings are able to resist up to 1.000 bar with an adecuate material.
Dynamic tightness : It must be distinguished between two systems: HIDRAULIC and PNEUMATIC.
In dynamic tightness of HIDRAULIC SYSTEMS, compression and deformation of the o-ring make this was able to adapt on the surface.
In dynamic tightness of PNEUMATIC EQUIPMENTS, it is recommended to reduce the friction of the o-ring in its axial displacements because of the lack of lubrication.
For this reason the o-rings deformation will be maintained in a maximum level of 6% and a minimum one of 2%.
O-rings must be combined some specific conditions for their running:
* Resistance to environment (oils, steam, chemical products, etc.)
| * Resistance to operation temperatures. * Resistance to permanent deformation. * Resistance to wear and tear. * Elasticity. * Operation pressure. |
